"Christmas Preparations" Christmas time is coming, The lights are being strewn, Snow is in the air, People are rushing with many things to do. First they must go shopping for presents and a tree, The children get so excited, Hoping their gifts they will see. Jingle bells sound out across the radio, as the family drives to a tree farm, to buy a tree they can make glow. There are so many to choose from, They must pick the perfect one, They walk around for hours, They're having so much fun. Then they finally spot it, They all stand back in awe, It's now time to take it home, And hope it's not too tall. They pack their little family in the car for their ride home, Christmas Carolls blaring loudly on their radio. As down the road they travel, They all join in to sing along, You could hear them singing blissfully, To the tune of their favorite song... ©Sharon E. Sharon what a gem this is! It instantly put me in the christmas spirit! I think I want to get an artificial tree though, that way it is always green! RP |
