its taken me almost a year to get to this point...

~The hurt inside me~

after everything i went through,
i finally realize how horribly inhumane it all was.
not because of you,
i was the one hurting myself.
you were merely a thought,
a cry, a pang of anger.
you were never the one hurting me,
only a figment of my oh so vivid imagination.
i was trapped there,
thinking it was reality.
but now i know,
that it was all some horrid nightmare.
you never even existed.
only in a dream that kept repeating.
only in my tears, the shine of the blade,
only in false memories,
that never went away.
i'm awake now, and i'm not alone anymore.
i have my life back, its no longer yours.
i'm so relieved, its all off my chest.
so i'll put those dreams away now,
and lay old pain to rest...

So glad you got to the point of being able to put your pain behind you. What an exhilerating release that must be. You have written it well

thank you all for your replies..its good to be home...i just hope jesse sees this...he needs to know that i am finally ready to let him in...i'm not afraid to love anymore...

and i think...hope...i'll be back for good now....
