Winds of Changes

I am wading in the pools of fate
That whirl in constant motion
I am pulled and tossed by undertows
In tides of life’s emotion

I am drifting in the currents
I am blown by winds of changes
I am wilted from the heartache
That condition rearranges

In the up and down of ripples
In the ocean’s rise and ebbing
Into forces of deception
I am caught in tangled webbing

On a path of prickling briars
In a quicksand of sensation
In the heat of burning fires
In the well of condemnation

I am treading on a tightrope
On a thread of my believing
And I’m steady as a silkworm
In the midst of splendid weaving

I am held up by an angel
Who is hovering above me
I am wrapped in warmth and comfort
Of the ones who truly love me

And I cannot fall to moontides
Or immerse in wells of sorrow
For the web that I have woven
Is a haven for tomorrow

And tomorrow is the essence
Of a joy I wish to borrow

this is one of those poems that make you feel good inside. Thank you.

Just fantastic imagery here Elizabeth.

Although this seemed dark to me in the beginning I felt it much lighter towards the end, and managed a smile!
