Miller's at my Shoulder

Step beyond the blue note
from shadows in to light,
A nervous touch of gilded cuff
my face tuxedo white,
Mirror balls reflections
in patent leather shoes,
I hope that Miller hears me
I hope that he approves,
The horns are gently coaxing
me to centre spot,
Oh no, I'm two bars tardy
will I make the mike or not,
But Miller's at my shoulder,
I know what I must do,
Just take a breath and sing
"...that serenade in blue..."

Olias.

Sing away my dear friend, sing away the night
For your voice is so beautiful and like a bird takes flight.

Peaches73533,

Thank you for your rhymes reply, you give me wings with which to fly.

Enchantress,

Your kind words are like a "string of pearls", I guess I'll just choo choo my way home. Thank you.

Regards to you both,
Olias.
