Like the calm after a storm, my heart rests.
Each measured beat a reflection of within.
Peace flowing through vessels once new.
Now a tranquil stream of life babbling.

Distant peaks of white caps grace my eyes.
As birds and fauna surround and comfort.
Little thoughts of love passing before me.
The peace of a forest captures my soul.

Will this storm return to my soul again?
Can I endure the turbulence of the sway?
Each beat of my blood rests in guarded wait.
On steadied feet I stand before you

Give me yourself that I might protect you.
Let this heart take your own within me.
Fret not when we are within each form
for within my care, no storm will come.

This is a devotional!

Karilea...Yes...I think I will keep this one
tucked away for next June...same day as my
birthday...33 years ago...would be great
for then...an anniversarial vow.

Sandra...and that pretty well fits what I felt
I was doing with the poem...  Thank you.

But it has so many possibilities..
