Darkness paused thoughts,
needing to know
if wind and rain
powered my emotion,
whispered colors
swaying the night sky
before these tired eyes.

Moon dispersed fragments of gleam,
a little bit of presence
of moments before,
guiding me through thunder,
lightening,
balancing the silence
of you-thoughts.

Storming subsided.

Reaching the calm,
a destination long sought,
I shed my pride,
caught my mirrored image
dressed only in a smile.

Wiped the myst from my eyes,
the illusions from my heart,
let the darkness reign before me.

Somewhere, tonight,
a rainbow arcs,
dreams are deferred,
and real, takes on new meaning.

Behind these eyes,
emerges a vision,
a long time coming,
my rainbow's end.

Sorry, I dont mean to repost your own work like that, but I particularly liked the 1st stanza here. You seem to be saying,
once the mind is put at ease,
and all those trivial thoughts just cease, there still remains the wind and the rain to put your mind at peace.
As far as them powering your emotions goes,
I feel, my friend, that nobody knows.

Sven, I think I just realized what is important in life, last evening riding home after sharing time with someone who is special to me. It took me awhile, but I am making strides. Thank you for your supportive words. They are greatly appreciated.

*btw we are having warm rains and lightening in November...very unusual *s  so the sky was very colorful last evening late...and helped inspire my thoughts and images.
