I know you always loved me,
You just didn't know how
to show it,
But still it registered in my
heart,
and I will always know it....

We were young an inexperienced,
We took so much for granted,
Living each day like there was no
tommorrow,
Thinking our love could withstand
it....

Neither one of us knew what direction
to take,
Not reaching for our future, or caring
about our fate,
We tried time and again to make our
love work,
But the harder we tried, the more we
were hurt....

You hurting me, and me hurting you,
was a way of life it seemed,
We were so caught up on hurting
each other,
We forgot about our dreams....

I loved you with all of my heart,
But one of us had to be strong,
So I took the initiative and filed
for divorce,
Knowing in my heart,
this was wrong....

We went our seperate ways,
though our love stayed as one,
We continued to lead our seperate lives,
We continued to be strong....

I wish we were able to turn back time,
I wish you were here with me now,
But it's too late for God has taken you
home,
Perhaps we'll meet at a later date,
sometime, someplace, somehow....

This is such a sad write. John Yaws wrote one tonight about meeting the one we love after death too. A beautiful thought...I believe it does happen

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

My father lost four wives...loved each of
them dearly...

I know he felt these feelings and thought
most of what you have said...

Amazing how we can still love someone
even though together we cannot exist.

I could relate to much of the trials of
marriage and trying to coexist together
when you are young and in the me mode.

Yes, it is very sad when two peoples hearts form together as one, but they are too young and nieve to know what a love they really have....This was written about my one and only soulmate, who sadly past away last year.
And I too believe we will meet once again.

With a love like this...I believe for you. Even if mistakes were made...everything will be made perfect. Tears on this one. Poignant write dear poet.

Sincerely,
Regina
