State of Suspended Passion

0 posted 2001-11-24 08:49 PM

I wonder who I feel like tonight...
When the night isn't calm
When the field of wind chatters
And I am noticing the absence of my love..

Lit only by the eye of moon
I wait for her now
She who is my all
And she who is my life

Hands pull from somewhere calm
And I feel a pair of windows
Seeing light in my storm
Who bears the  balm of love for my blue evening?

I can only see her eyes
So brown and soft
Just like they were
On that final evening so long ago
When the storm brought us together

Search me for yesterdays
And I will tell you stories of love that surrendered.
Two strangers never felt so wet with love
Until they danced a night eye to eye

A night when the music of their hearts
Played that last dance of love
A dance whose steps they knew
And one that would never end
As long as the music played

Don't you hear the lilt of jealous music
As it roams distances wrought
With the obstacles of other voices?
It demands an ear that heeds.

But, this ear has always heeded
Even in the midst of choirs of angels
Always listening for that one voice
The voice of the highest Seraphim
Still singing in the darkness. . .

Then heed and be still now
For the touch of fingers is now dawning
On a heart yawning wide with love
That pulls contagion from others.

But yet draw not from others
But from the one who loves and is loved
For only in that heart is found the music of love
The music of life
Others are there, but they do not sing
Not like thee...

No other noise they claim to call singing
Could compare to love tongued beauty.
All other notes unworthy
All other sounds dulled.

All other musics unheard
All other sonatas unwritten
Save but for thy voice
A voice I have longed to hear
Since I knew what music was .

I am many.

You both dance very beautifully to this song. It is beautiful indeed. May the dance continue

This is lovely! I have no knowledge of who wrote what, only that it is a balance of conversation, and some great lines! Brava, to the two of you!
