Falling Into Time With You

as I danced upon this path of life
I looked up
you were by my side
you asked to waltz this dance with me
this song so new
I let you lead

on the dance floor in your arms
you swept me up and I was charmed
we giggled as we got to know
and felt like we’d met long ago

you kiss me as I melt into
your heart
as mine is skipping too
the band play on
we dance some more
there’s magic on this dancing floor

you hold me closer in this dance
you serenade me in romance
my feet don’t even feel the floor
you capture my heart
more and more
you tuck me in
you keep me safe
I’m falling
deep in your embrace

your arms so strong to hold my nights
a love that seems to fit just right
the stars that shine upon a wish
to keep forever times like this

we’ll dream
together on the stars
a dream so sweet
this dream is ours

just hold me under moonlit skies
we’ll stand still as the world goes by
you reach your hand to touch my face
and kiss me
as my heart does race
your kiss so soft and tender too
I’m falling
into time with you
catch me in your dream filled arms
catch me
hold me
keep me warm

as winter brings her coldest days
by hearts of fire
let us stay
keep me always in your kiss
keep forever in a wish

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

And hey, Kacy, I may have my hands full....but hey..I have two arms, two legs…can’t I dance with two guys????

Well, let's see now......

I'm tangoing with Tracey
Mambo with midnitesun
Samba-ing with Sunshine
Lambada with lewisone.

What will I do with Nancy?
I'd really like to know..
I'll simply tell the band
To play Sinatra, nice and slow!

What beauty fills my dance card!
To put my arms around
Such gorgeousness all in one night
Will make me heaven-bound

Oh Michael, you are so sweet. And what a full dance card you do have tonight. I love the pic!!!

Our Balladeer has found a ball that’s only full of gals
Now this kind of dancing brought a smile to our old pal
He’s got us all a linin up to dance on to the songs
Now where are all the other guys? Don’t they want to dance along?

lmao at you Kacy. The dancin dunkin donuts are still at the shop for another hour or so, then we'll get them off the shelf for a spot of dancin!!!!

Tracey, before this poem gets lost in all the silliness   I wanted to say that it is filled with so much love and tenderness. What a lovely way to fall in love.

Now anyone want to dance with the new girl?

As usual I am a little late but hope to get at least the last dance in with somebody ...
I guess I will just have to stand in line until the club reopens in the morning ...
just give a nudge and a cup of coffee and I will be ready. For now I am going to go back and read the poem again ... It was very tender, sweet ... excellent!!

I adore the dance floor. Many a passionate times in the heat of letting go...with ya clothes on! Your verse is such a melody of lovely steps. I have thoroughly enjoyed the replies as well. Big laughs at Balladeer and the other hopeful dancers of your magic. Keep em' spinning girl!

Craig, okay, here’s your morning coffee…let’s start dancin!!!

Regina, yes, I love dancing too…come join us in the dance. Balladeers dance card is pretty crowded, but we now have Magnus, James and Craig to help him out

Kathleen, so glad you enjoyed it.

No Sandra, you didn’t miss the party, you got here just in time for a spin on the floor

Ah, Balladeer, I thought you’d be exhausted after all that dancing last night, but here you are, bright and chipper, ready to carry on the dancing!! Cool graphics

Unfortunately I never learned to dance - usually just kept the girls in check to other guys were free to dance. But Tracey - I'd get out on the floor with you if Balladeer would just give me a chance to step on your toes...

Very much enjoyed this (and all the ribald afterwards) and I think your ending line sums it all up perfectly...."forever in a wish".

Watching quietly a day or two
the dance floor soon to clear
it's the last dance I want with you
your heart to mine, my dear.
And as you wish, I will lead
under dreamer's night your guide
take hold my hand as we may meet
falling into more than time.

You know I loved this, Tracey.  Hope you saved me the last dance.  For evermore.

Oh Tracey ... this was splendid!  Beautifully creative phrasing throughout! What a wonderful cadence and rhyme ... I caught myself tapping along as I read. I'll have to come back and read all of these responses as I'm running late for work ... but wanted you to know I read and thoroughly enjoyed!
