There’s a crystal in my window
That reflects the morning sun
It’s the prism of enchantment
That makes worries come undone

It’s a clear drop of contentment
It’s a dangling bit of grace
That shines iridescent colors
On my pillow and my face

It was made to make a rainbow
from the beams of morning light
But it makes a dozen spectrums
in the dawning of delight

It paints arcs of joy across the room
On ceiling up above
Such a splendid gift of rainbows
From a someone that I love

She handed me a crystal
And I hung it in my room
And her love shines rainbow colors
That my heart cannot consume

Its a teardrop of affection
It’s a diamond in the morn
It’s like the sunbeam that awakened
On the day that she was born

Of course you collect crystals! Anyone who writes as you do must! I do too...so IWIHWT...I named my daughter Krystal...her middle name is Joy...and she is!

Thank you for this!

Liz this is a treasure...
a lovely sharing of cadence and imagery wrapped in special memories.
I just had to smile while reading this, reminded of my sister's love for crystals and prisms. Calls them her personal rainbows
thank you for the smiles dear poetess

Liz--I love what crystals do to light and I love what you do to words...I think they are the same.  Hugs!

I'm forever amazed at your gift with flow in the words.

A crystal makes a wonderful gift, for every time it makes a rainbow, you think of a special person and it lights up your day.
THanks for the lovely remarks
Liz
