Last night I dreamt you came to me,
...fair Rose beyond compare,
Upon the winds of vespertine,
...a bloom of splendor rare.
I gazed upon your pulchritude,
...espied your beauteous charms,
Longed to hold you close to me,
...to hold you in my arms.
You sang to me love's madrigal,
...we danced 'cross heaven's floor,
We sailed upon the Southern Cross,
...my darling Terpsichore.
Next to your grace, the stars above,
...were but a taper's light,
Outshined by radiance of your glow,
...crown jewel of welkin's night.
But then the dawn, from forth the east,
...first rays of new day's sun,
You whispered softly in my ear,
...farewell, our dance is done,
As gently placed your face to mine,
...our lips in passion pressed,
I felt your body close to mine,
...your warmth against my breast,
Although, alas, a mortal be,
...was by a goddess kissed,
Before you stole into the night,
...upon a rising mist.

Tim, this was a wonderful piece of writing, I enjoyed every line and rhyme in it. You drew a picture of love and a memory that will linger. You are a true romantic and that's great to see.
Look forward to reading more of you work.

Sincerely
Rick

This is simply enchanting. I love this piece. Made me picture a knight, a maiden, a love, a dream. Absolutely beautiful

Tim, it's been awhile since you've come round to share your smiles, and with some fine, sweet poetry, I hunger back to times of thee...

This is great!  Long live old world poetry!

Simply astonishing. As I've said before, no one does it better than you. Your words are more than poetry, they are perfection.

Tim--If one did not know you by your name, they would by your wonderful poetry.  So good to read you!

This is exquisite and even that doesn't express how beautiful it read and felt. I hope you have more to share with us.
