The Inside of a Dream

She sat in a field of glass
all nestled mixed with prisms built by light

In cold refracted curl she slipped
beneath the cut of earth to see
the molten place where heat is born

She listened all pale and withering
to the bubble of her breath
tinkle across her memory

then burst all bright and shinning
with a clear thought
that had mixed the color of the sky
with the somberness of a shaded underwater mosque

Now she rippled and sparked like fairy dust
until her light filled with shadow

For she was just an eye that watched
the inside of a dream

and time was moving into the clear
all fuzzed and drained
until not even her memory remained

whoa....that was SOME dream.... whew.
very cool and unique imagery here Martie-girl.
intense .... yes ...intense and DEEP.
Like Alice in Wonderland but with a haunted cryptic edge.
very cool write

"If I could fly ... I'd pick you up ... I'd take you into the night ...
and show you a love like you've never seen ... ever seen" ... ohoh ...

Hi Martie,
I love dreams, especially lucid dreams.  They're so bright and mysterious as well.  You never know where they will take you and in a twinkling.  You've captured the nature of a dream.
The passage "then burst all bright and shiny--"  reveals the changability of dreams in a twinkling

Nice work

You mean to tell me that dreams are 3 dimensional???!!!  Okay, so I knew that, but hey, I was always afraid to admit that I could feel, taste, smell and hear my dreams for fear that someone would lock me up.    It is always such a journey when I indulge in one of your works and this one really allowed me to wander aimlessly without getting lost...and I think I found a new mode of transportation in the process.  A magical write and it truely shows why so few can even come close to the level that you reach in each and every one of your posts.  Well done my friend and many hugs to you and that grandbaby of yours.  Congrats a little late btw.
