“BROKEN HEARTS”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Broken hearts only sing
of grief, happiness may
not enter, for only indifference
may enter their conflict…
Songs written that are sung
are of times past with you, no
longer hearing your voice, or
seeing your smile again…
Knowing you once was never
enough, closeness was more
than words, remembering
when two hearts were one…
But now they are broken,
hardened, without softness,
as the deepest parts within
fill with tears…
What a poignant description of love and loss, beautiful...
*gulp* ing a lump in my throat.
Bill,
   It's so wonderful to see your name again I missed your poetry.
   This is so sad, but so well done. What else could I expect from such a gifted poet?
Hugs,
Tara
Hurts like this run deep indeed and you have written of it so well that tears welled up in my eyes. My heart goes out to you. I hope healing comes and then love fills your deepest parts. **hugs**
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Nan - my dear friend. Thank for your words, as always....
Startime - To touch one that reads what I write touches my heart. Healing will come in time, as it must. I'm very grateful for your kind words...
