There are so many corners and shadows
in each individual heart.
Even when we feel
we know someone really well,
there will still be shadows and corners
that we can never reach.
And that's OK.
I don't need to see the whole of you.
Bits and pieces of your rainbow will do.
The rest of you can be a mystery,
the more to intrigue me.

We all need a bit of shadow and corner in which to keep ourselves...this appeals to me, for many reasons, so, it goes without saying [but it never should...]

I like this!

Sunshine, it's true, we need a corner of privacy. I keep tellin my dog that, but he doesn't want to listen to me.

Seymour, nice to see you this morning. Thanks for sharing my corner for a moment.

Hehe, I love to be intrigued! The mysteries we all hold close to us are what make discovery all the more delightful, and neverending. Enjoyed this one much.

Pell, thanks for visiting. You said it...a never ending mystery.

Sandra, it does make life more fun. Nothing beats a good quest to get life's juices flowing.

Contabo, thanks for more food for thought. If the shadows hold the truth, are the corners where we shelter our fantasies?

I love the sincere simplicity of that lovely poetic thought and image.

Sven, I love those shadows and corners, where mystery and intigue can blend with the reality and fantasy.  Thanks for visiting some of the shadowy corners of my mind.

Yes! I love this piece. To know someone is to know that you can't possibly know everything about them. We are never as shallow as people think. I hope most humans are deep feeling souls. I give them the benifit of the doubt anyways. Saving this.

Sincerely,
Regina

Regina, thanks for the visit. I agree. Most people are deeper than the depth of the ocean, we are lucky when we see the tops of the waves.

Kacy, this is a cool write!  I believe in leaving something to the imagination...whether it be in corners or shadows.  Hugs, Nancy.
