Unmasked

Did you ever ask
“When‘l you unmask
and let me see
an image of thee?”

And did you wonder
if this poet’s under
the mask of tragedy
or one of comedy?

Who did you think
hid behind this ink?
I’d like to hear
from you, poet peer.

Well, now you know
almost white as snow
near my library shelf
this picture of self.

Enjoyed the poem sir! You look exactly as I expected. In fact I think you look more like a poet than most of us here. (psst..what kind of books do you have and how many of them are there? I'm a bibliophile!)

Okay, even though I know this makes me seem a fool....you look to me like a mage and it fits well with the man your writing projects. *grin* and a very good looking one too. Wise and poetic. Yes sir, I like this poem and the picture too.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Bill,
Thanks.  Glad you enjoyed.

Rex,
Well, possibly is ok, but I'm not so sure about that tranquility.

Kathleen,
Thanks for peeking in.

Coco,
Hi ya back!

dg,
Oh, I might have known you would have a reply.  Thank you. {hug}
Finally, eh?  Good that you weren't holding your breath!

PdV,
Hmmmm, what's a poet supposed to look like?  All the local poets I know look like, well, like just plain folks.  Bibliophile, eh?  My dear, you have my sympathy.  As you probably already know, it is, sadly, an uncurable and costly affliction.

Startime,
Like a Mage?
Thanks a bunch for the "very good looking"!  Flattery will get you everywhere, you know!

Seymore,
Thanks you, sir, for the 'well done', I think.  Actually, I don't think I'm quite as 'done' as I might appear.
