Between the Lines

To the left  is yesterday,
to the right, tomorrow.
I am traveling the in-between.

With tongue in cheek,
pressing the thoughts
that imprison my mind.
Only yesterday, filled with hope,
hours later darkness returned,
shadows to penetrate the aloneness.

Pierced I am, emotions seeping,
tears draining as the wind dries
and this face stiffens.
No one to hear the cries,
no one to see the eyes holding pain,
teeth marks on lips bitten by hurt.

A day to be thankful, my list had grown,
only to be shredded by times delay.

To the left is yesterday,
to the right, tomorrow.
I am traveling the in-between
with the moon switching sides.

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
(J.Garland)

Maureen, that yellow line will never fade.
Once we make it around the bend, we'll be ok.
We have ALL felt this way.
Hope your day was a good one.
I meant bend not bed!!!!
Kathleen

Tomorrow is always right ...
and today is always lived in-between.

Sorry to hear your smile has faded,
Times will change a little each day.

Words upon a drying wind.

God bless.

Time changes everything Craig...not always for the better but I like that phrase:

Words upon a drying wind. will use it now for a title thanks.  How about half a smile...
