Arabian Nights

Soft veiled a silken sultry moon
poised on minarets,
across the dromedary dunes
bewailed in sad duets,
the shifting sands sirocco sighs,
caress the arid ground,
and in the caravanserai
the nomads huddle round,
to keep a camp fires rendezvous
Oasis treasures drained,
to tell of stories, old and new
of harems lost and gained,
'til  under jewelled moonbeams
the firelight embers die,
and all are lost in sweet dreams
where snow-white stallions fly.

Olias.

A lovely poem. Amazing to me is that in every culture, in every time, the chain of stories are given, from generation to generation, to carry on the values, and the morals, of a people.

Every culture.

That should make every realize, there are more than blood ties that unite us all...

Beautiful!!

A true treasure to
be passed on!

I agree with Sunshine,
we are all of one ...
blood of burgundy wine,
warmed by the same sun.

Sunshine,
Yes I agree, those stories often become the foundations upon which nations are built. Thanks for replying.

Ctowen,
Thank you for your kind words of wisdom, be well.

Startime,
Your making me blush, unfortunatly I dont write in a romantic vein very often, only when there is a z in the month, so you may have to wait quite a while. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and interest, take care.

Regards to all,
Olias.
