Chain Gang

Sweat, I toil upon the line, care I not for sweat,
Threat of loss of privilege, loss is not a threat,
Longing for a quick release, what's the sense in longing,
Belonging to a brotherhood, that's given up belonging,
Rock a burden never ending, endless years of rock,
Lock and key my sanctuary, fear I not the lock,
Break my back with chain and stone, souls they too may break,
Forsake the worlds humanity, but never rock forsake,
Sell my soul for sympathy, but have no soul to sell,
Hell is rock and chains and sweat, dear God I am in hell.

Olias.

Olias, this is a very interesting read.  Hope you are well...with these deep, ponderous thoughts...

Wow, I really like the way you've crafted this piece. It cries out volumes of depth, devil may care and go to heck with the world (I'd have used the real word, but the moderators caught me last time !!! lol). Great piece of writing.
