The cloud maker

The gentle kiss of mist
Where rainbows dance eternal

The silver, milky roar
Billowing love potion
into the air
Romance
Flair
Of dancing waters

A fantasia of light play
Dropping gracefully
Into a perpetual breaking wave

Above, I stand on edge
of railed cliffs
Allowing both Canada and America
to rise up into my senses

Each with tender bliss
of equal beauty

The bottomless blue whirlpool
The bowl of swirling magnitude

The greatest force of water
Falling over the edge of the earth

Filling my heart full
of magic
My words
fail me

Beautiful Regina....exactly how I feel when I look at it myself.  If you get the chance, go there in the winter when the mist from the falls covers the trees and it turns to ice...spectacular.  Great write as usual.
Hugs, Nancy.

Nancy is rigth Niagara Falls is fantastic in the winter, but magnificant any time of the year.  Now Regina, you must come to B.C. to see the mountains, snow, and all the fantastic scenery.  You will have money left over as you dollar is worth what $1.65 here?  You did a great job of describing the falls, and can't you still hear that roar long after you leave, it is amazing.

rwood, very beautiful discriptions here. I have often visited the falls from my Toronto home at different times. My favorite time is at night when the high powered coloured lights are shone from the Canadian side onto both the American and Canadian falls. It always makes me feel closer to my American cousins.

Actually, your words did well to describe such beauty.  I'm sure my words really would fail me though.  Nice word, my friend. *hugs*

There are, indeed, sights in which mere words cannot describe. The Grand Canyon is one, Alaskan glaciers another and Niagra certainly belongs there, too.

For being speechless, you describe the undescribable very well

The wonders of nature do well in inspiring the mind and hearts of those that allow and your beautiful verse is a wonderful reflection of just that.  I truely love the freshness and the uniqueness of your pieces and this one is no exception.  Excellent writing.

Beautiul Regina. I have been there many times, but not for some years. Thank you for the memories. And thanks to Rex for posting the night pics. I've never seen it at night, but now I have an excuse to go back, for it certainly does look beautiful at night
