On a day in late November
When the sky is chill and gray
When leaves have fallen, and birds have flown
And they are on their way
It's time to bring the harvest in
And give thanks to God for it all
We give Him thanks for everything
He's done for us this fall.
So as we near the end of year
On this Thanksgiving day
Give thanks to God for all the blessings
That He has sent our way.

November 1998

Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!

God bless America, my home sweet home.

Elizabeth I have read so many Thanksgiving poems on the net over the past few days, and yours is the first that gives credit where the credit is due, to God, which somehow seems such an unspoken word these days.  I remember "Praise God from whom all blessings flow", as a kid, and I wish we could all remember the source of our blessings, as your poem has set out.  I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and may God Bless.

Mysteria, yes, I believe that God deserves credit for everything. I have so much from Him to be thankful for.

There is much to be thankful for, Elizabeth.  This was lovely.
