Scarlet Scars

Why the hole within the matrix?
The place that once held a heart
Where love did erstwhile spew
Is now bound and tied to hatred
And the reasons so cleverly concealed

I saw the monitory red light
And chose turn the blind eye
For my blood is your blood
And to think of such betrayal
Was a notion I refused to conceive

But I am a versifier by nature
And writing the pain away is easy
As simple as your lack of virtues
So it would appear we are all elementary
Though I fear your simple in another way

It's a strange world, this reality
Where thoughts and intellect rule
No matter where it is we call home
Yet where is it that you reside?
I know Hell would love your inflecting scarlet scars

*sigh* your pain screams from your words. My heart goes out to you. Betrayal is the hardest thing to live with. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

great job here Marina. . . powerful use of words and of the images. . .

these lines especially grabbed me. . .
quote:
But I am a versifier by nature
And writing the pain away is easy

sometimes it is. . . sometimes, it isn't. . .

and how powerful are these images and expressions.
Youve packed a poetic punch with this one girlie...
that muse of yours will always come thru when you need it most.
Sorry I missed this one... having some comp problems.

Well now ... what a surprise to find your name here.  Your talent in writing allows the hurt to scream off the page and it is heard loud and clear.  A very powerful read and a delight to be treated to one of yours. Take care sweet poet of the north.

Your poem holds it all: hurt, pain, anger; I hope you keep your head up. Keep writing your feelings down (spiritual ventilation).

Marina:  This is a very powerful write....your hurt is very evident, I hope you are able to work through it and see the sun coming shining through again soon ...
