I am here
I will always
you know

I
will walk
I will talk
not go

I
will
remain
forever to
stay

Give me
the courage to
give it my all
this day

Give
me hope
for a better
place

Give
me strength
for the fears
I face

Give
me wisdom
Take strife
away

Fill
my body
with words
we say

Let
me grow
again become
whole

Let
my heart
Help
me cleanse
my shame
my guilt

For
I am
trying to
love
me

all I can muster is "me too" and that seems so very inadequate to how much I related to this, you have no idea.
and thank you for posting this
Happy Thanksgiving.

Barry this is wonderful!  A change of style for you and very well done.  To love ourselves...yes, we must be able to do that before we can love another.  I would never suspect that you are pondering any of these things.  You always have it all together...my friend.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving
with a cornucopia overflowing with blessings!
Bluest of skies to you and yours.
~hugs, Nancy~
p.s. It's too early for coffee...I'm having cranberry juice.

~I've loved you forever, in lifetimes before.~

Kay and Nancy...

Thank you both....I wrote this to help a
friend of mine that is struggling right now.
I wanted to share it because it fits so
well with many of us....

I have walked this path myself...I am still
recovering from my own walk...I KNOW SO
WELL these feelings myself...And I have
grown considerably as a person by being
able to work through them and learning to
love me too...

Thank you both...

Barry

Karen...sharing wise thoughts...when those
thought become learned lessons...is the
greatest gift one can give or receive...
Thank You and Happy Thanksgiving...even
though you are way way up there above the
border...in God's country...

Liking others is easy to do.
Liking my self is what makes me blue.
I'm trying with eace and every day.
And your words that I read help me
        along my way.

peaches...liking yourself is often hard..
I know that too well...

Forgive yourself for it was not you.
It was someone else that made you feel it.

And know that it was never your fault...
not ever...
