Rewrite, Repost:

Glories Promise – Quick Sands End

Insidiously with silken gloves
And imperceptive velvet hugs
She mossback me in steamy slack
And pulled the string that closed the sack.

Bridled me with a bit of hope
Straddled me with spurs and rope
And whipped my ass from walk to lope.

She gave me naught the rules of court
Transgressed much more then I could thwart

Grinned and witnessed the devils sport.

Purgatory the place of dwell
Just one step away from hell

Drained in harrow, down to the marrow.
With prison bars straight and narrow.
Coated in aphrodisiac.

What penance I in souls defense?
What recommence or recompense?
Where could I send a mind to mend?
Glories promise and quick sands end

You stand apart from all the rest
putting thought to stress of test
just when I think you've wrote your best
you come back quick in style and zest...

This is a bit punishing
It just happens to be wonderfully written
As always, your brush is filled with color and held by an artist of phrase

I would wait till the end of time for you,
Then do it all again ... it's true.
I can't measure my love for you,

JM,
When I read your answering posts I just want to go on forever. You always say what I want to read or I read what I want to read in what you say. What ever you are a delight. I love you weather far or near and you have added pleasure to the lonely years. You and your family have the best of holidays.
Love Sy
