How can you ever be less than a wonderful human being?
How could anyone ever take you and treat you as less?
What gives anyone the right to take away dignity.
To replace happiness and hope with distrust and shame.

The bruises on the skin will heal, will go away soon.
Those within your soul, they just seem to stay around.
They cause you to feel less than whole, with no worth.
They are part of who you are, who you will become.

Why do so many have so little because of their sex.
Why is it others think sex is all you are alive for?
Don’t they understand the dignity that is taken away.
Can’t they feel the shame and guilt that move in.

You are a person, you deserve respect and kindness.
Your feelings deserve consideration and an ear.
Your thoughts should be honored and take heed of.
Your heart, as big as my own...deserves so much love.

I will want you in my life for who you are to me.
Your beauty within I will try to keep ever in mind.
I won’t let you feel that IT is all I ever want.
I will let you feel that I need you, even without IT.

I will give you the kindness you deeply deserve.
I will respect and care for you, I will keep you safe.
I will love you as no other person has on this earth.
And, above all else...I will let you be yourself,
be free with your dignity.

Nancy...thanx...I know these feelings well.
and I truly believe we all deserve the right
to keep our dignity, self respect, love of
self and so much more...freely...this
understanding of dignity comes from another
word...called empathy...

I would give both arms for a friend (man)like this....I'm totally speechless and someone is a person blessed.  But I have too many problems for the average person

Kay...thank you...

I understand what yu are saying...really do.
YEP...I try not to be just the average male.
I was once...but I have learned a lot over
the past several years about feelings,
about other's and their feelings...and a lot
about life,  particularly my own...and who
I need to be.

thank you..

Karilea...reading the book took a long time.
Was hard reading...required a lot of self
evaluation and honesty about myself...
But the ending was and is very enjoyable.

thank you...

Cpat...if we and our children can grow up
respecting others as individuals and being
empathetic toward them...we have come a long
way toward being where we should...

Glad you enjoyed this..

Karen,  yes...lessons that we each deserve
so much to benefit from...we all deserve
nothing less than that...for if we give
respect...we certainly should get respect in
turn...Hope you have learned a little from
this,  for you deserve the respect of others
as much as I would myself.
