I continue to walk a worn path in my life’s journey.
Crossing over itself many times, I steadily move on.
Searching and finding answers to life’s questions.
A trek of countless miles, many tears, much joy.

Friends have come and gone like golden sunrises.
The brilliance of their memories still shine in me.
Darkness once held deeply now freely shared.
Taking this trek down through darkness now light.

My soul has screamed in agony over my sorrows.
My heart has spilled life from my eyes, my lips.
My eyes have cried in vain, wanting love to be.
Can one man journey alone from dark to light.

Let it go, let it free from within, cast it out forever.
Feel not shame, for love and understanding await me.
A friends compassion warming my veins, my being.
A path ever widening and smooth lies before me.

Holding hands, comforted by the shared closeness.
Two friends walk courageously into dark of  night.
Steadied by love, the understanding of emotions
Feet now step into the unknown of their futures.

Share my walk, hold my hand, journey into the unknowns of life,
for two united as one  are ever more powerful than one could be.

As I walk through your poems I see a man who has learned much in his life and come out a champion because he has seen he is not perfect but has tried hard to learn from his mistakes. I salute you, Sir, for you are a wonderful example of what we should all be doing. It matters not that there are mistakes in our past that may be dark but what matters is that we took those mistakes, learned, bettered ourselves and moved forward into the light and share what we have learned with others. BRAVO!!!**big hugs** Sorry for going on and on but this poem is exceptional.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

LW///Yes...the power of two is the square of
one...and so much stronger to make it
through our life's journey...Difficult when
both are walking two seperate paths...

Thank You.

Nancy...thank you...YEP...I wanted the pic
to show my eyes...for a lot of feelings
lie behind them...I hope that others see
that as well...and I try to write from my
heart...but I don't believe I had to tell
you that...you already know it.

I read something in your poetry that is a freshness, as if you're not "afraid" to write yourself, that is a gift. These words truly come from a man who sounds as if he is releasing something. It reads beautifully, because it IS beautiful...

Sven..Thank you...if enough voices are heard,
we will learn that we are not so unique in
this world...that many others share our
own fears and failures...and hopefully also
share our hopes...

Carol...What is there to fear when you have
stared fear, humility, shame and guilt in
the face and admitted that you were afraid,
that you had fear, shame and guilt...and
that you wanted to rid yourself of them..

I have walked this mile....and that is why
I share...for others have not yet walked
and still fear....

thank you for your thoughts...they are right
on...only thing different is that I have
already released these thoughts before...Now
I am sharing them...again..and NO,  I am not
afraid to do it...Why should I be...
