There was a time of great wars.
Of knights and maidens and folklore.
A war spread throughout the land.
Where the knight's stood up and took a stand.
They vowed to bring this evil down.
And crush this evil to the ground.

It came in the middle of the night.
The knight's notice to come and fight.
The fair maiden cried please don't go.
Please don't leave me all alone.
My fair maiden said the knight.
Fear not for I am ready to make this fight.

He told his maiden he would return.
When this evil had been burned.
     Remember the time we've shared.
And always remember that I care.

The maiden had heard no news in days.
She wondered if he had lost his way.
She was in the garden planting flowers.
When who should come riding to the towers.

     Sitting upon his galliant steed.
But her handsome knight, oh could it be?
He pulled her to him and kissed her lips.
And told her everything about his trip.

He told his maiden, I told you I'd be back.
As soon as I gave that dragon a whack.
Now my heart is forever yours.
     I'm your knight forevermore.

Well, peaches, that knight did come back to you. And you thought it was just in fairytales, right?   Hugs.

Patience comes to those who wait,
and I'm still learning that lesson.

Thank you for putting a smile on face,
I'm such a sucker for happy endings.
