Pencil Case As I sat on my table I stared at a box; It had a scarlet scarf on it. I gently removed the scarf To find a pretty face- It's a pencil case. The case was glamour with golden lace surrounding four corners; with lily leaves at the centre smiling back at me. I didn't need a smile, I thought; It was cold, unanimated. But as I opened the case I gave a smile- Lizzy, I love you. I'm sorry for the past. Now make a fresh start by accepting this gift... It was a picture we first took. Note: This gift can be from a friend, a family member or a lover. Sometimes we are too busy for our love one and only can give him a gift which would mean nothing even if it was dear when the person only wants your time. I've choosen pencil case to be my object because I was thinking about a busy mother and a daughter. Then I thought the gift might have been from a friend. At last I wanted to have something more general. The pencil case was not an ordinary one. I didn't know how an expensive pencil case would look like so I made it up. So what do you think of my poem?
