There once was a child standing all alone
With no one in her life and nowhere to go
The trials and tribulations that she had been through
It was so hard for her not to be blue
She went through the motions day to day
Keeping to herself and not having much to say
She grew up quickly, the child left behind
Hoping and trying to find a better adult inside
By the time she was just sixteen, she knew life all too well
Of al the hurt, heartache, and all of the hell
And then one day should one man notice her
And decide no matter what, he was to know her
He showed there was no reason for her to be alone
No longer for her to walk singly down that road
He showed all the love that he had to give
Showing her that life was defintly worth it for her to live
She still has her ghosts and problems from time to time
But he's always there with his love helping her to shine
From lonely to loved is such a great emotion
To think this cam frome one man's devotion

WOW!!! This poem could have been written about me but without the man who would show her what love really is. A magnificent poem that brought tears of joy to my eyes for the one it was written about.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Excellent work, peaches.  We all need someone to show us the way.

"From lonely to loved is such a great emotion"

How true...   but I object to Midnitesun's comments   , I object!! I'd rather there be triplets, so that you could send one over to to Startime, and one to me too...   I'm really in need of TLC right now

"From lonely to loved..." such a beautiful expression. And a feeling that you have captured well. I am happy that you have found your love, for love is what makes us human. *SMILE*

This one could have been written about me------including the man.  I've been without a family my entire life and all of  a sudden-along comes a man and he took it all on. I've put that man through hell and back and he is still in here.  That is why we aren't letting his cancer beat him.  NO WAY.  Not after everything we've been through together. We definitely belong together---no one else on earth would be able to put up with either one of us.LOL.

LOVE CONQUERS ALL.  No matter the size of the demon.
