FORLORN

My dreams are vanishing into the mist
no longer take me to a magic land
leaving behind thoughts of being kissed
all pouring downward like the hourglass sand

No longer to feel beauty in a sunset
blind to brilliance of the color shown
feeling the burden of untold dept
of barren past that makes my soul groan

Lonely spirit cries out for comfort
only to feel emptiness inside
begging that my time here be made short
from the unending life tests I've tried

No longer do I have the desire
to get up from my many failures
a darkness within put out the fire
from this illness without an easy cure

My arms stay open the truth revealed
that love will never fill my embrace
while the pains of the past stay unhealed
and my tears flow freely down my face

This is about as sad as sad can get, Karen. You've expressed much loneliness and pain. Well written, but very sad. I'm sending extra hugs to you today.

the hurt is painfully obvious, but God, there is a beauty here!

Such sadness and loneliness emits from each line, Karen.  A wise person once taught me an important lesson on failure recently.  She said that the difference between success and failure is that a person who succeeds tries again, the person who fails gives up for fear of failing.  Hope in some way this helps!  (((hugs)))

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

Karen...we let ourselve fall sometimes...and
with courage...we again stand...with the
feeling that we have won,  once more, once
again.

If we fall and never stand,  we wonder if we
could,  and too often we just lie there even
more afraid to stand....for then our fear
and doubts have won....

It is only the first inning....the game is
far from over...Rise my Star and shine again.
for the nighttime sky is clear and awaits
your return.
