A Point to Weigh

I cannot see the end of why
Within my dreams or in the sky
I’ve spent a lifetime searching though
I think that I will never know.

I hear a clock that tics away
A pendulum that cuts the day
And when it swings into the night
I dream and try to make it right.

The blade lowers each breath I take
It lowers time in change forsake.
And I am drowning in the sand
That rules the life upon this land.

I did observe one thing that’s true
It’s never changed my view of you.
You still remain my flowered goal
The love and peace you bring my soul

I’ve never pointed why your way
It is a point I truly weigh.

in this quiet circumspect
I find a Fellow I respect
who weighs his way of pondered say
and leaves me smiling through the day

I like your thoughts here, Sy.. You've done a wonderful job of looking at life's metaphorical journey - as you always do...

Dearest Sy...sometimes your poetry and the heart and soul that lies within the words just touch me so deeply.
These poems that reflect your personal ponderance of ones "twi-light years" just leave me lacking the words to tell you how impressive and dear you and your poetry are.
Your wisdom and grace, bring a tear to my eye and a smile to my face
Me loves you for that sweet Stinky
*ww*   me

I would wait till the end of time for you,
Then do it all again ... it's true.
I can't measure my love for you,
There's nothing to compare it to.

~The Weight of Why~

When left to ponder the scales of time
Our unending wonder of reason and rhyme
So many answers will remain forever unspoken
Still the seasons cycle is constant ... unbroken

Wise men tell us ... wonder not ... ask not why
Perhaps they know man could never explain the sky
Live each day in kind ... as if it might be our last
Each night dream in rewind ... come to peace with our past

Let then ... our dreams tip the scales
Let the winds of change ... carry our sails
Etch your name ... in the sands of time
Wisdom left behind ... in your gifted rhyme

Though we might wish and wonder otherwise
Time slips through our fingers right before our eyes
The memories will linger  ... as if time stands still
Moments that fulfill and thrill ... engraving us in infinite until

As time takes us across that line ... 'tis then we search for a sign
Let this rhyme define, you have aged divine ... like the finest of fine wine.

~~~~~~~~
~~~~~
Some see the hour glass as half empty ...
Some know in turn it will always be half full
Eyes of wise will realize ...
You are the poet of way COOL

**see how you inspire

I would wait till the end of time for you,
Then do it all again ... it's true.
I can't measure my love for you,
There's nothing to compare it to.

Sy--

"The blade lowers each breath I take
It lowers time in change forsake.
And I am drowning in the sand
That rules the life upon this land."

Your poetic ponderings touch a place in me that understands.
