Fanned cool by feathers
Angel wind or demon leather,
What price the breeze?

Spoken to too loud
Singular or in a boorish crowd
What price the words?

Passion of the flesh
Gentle or in massive harsh crush
What price the touch?

Taken for a fool
Comedy or a single use tool
What price the joke?

Forgotten in the wake,
Casual or a by design make
What price the thought?

I’ve lost my coins for paying
And I’ve no desire for playing
When it’s emotion that’s slaying
And there’s no hope to staying.
I’ll just freeze from lacking desire,
Cool the embers of inner fire,
From the stoking I now tire
Never hope or again aspire,
Just to become a forgotten one
My heartstrings all to be undone
Untied falling limp not to strum
Nothing to amuse and none for fun.
No reason to search out the light,
Just silent aching in the night.

Gloom
Thanks to Serenity for the inspiration

and I thank YOU, my dear Professor, for the wonderful conversation of poetry. You are very dear to me. (don't cringe, I'm about to hug ya...smile) ew....now wasn't that awfully wonderful?

You, sir, speak my language.

Thank you, Serenity
Your words are kind,
I speak just one language,
Although I’ve attempted others and failed,

It’s just the shade of English I speak well,
Like always it comes from my Karma,
Deep dark and shadowed.

this  says so much to me, more than you will ever know...some fine writing here.
