The stakes were high
The chips were stacked
And Marmaduke
Had Lassie’s back
The other two
Were dense you see
They thought Bernard
Was just lucky

When Bernie laid
The hand he played
Marm and Lass
Were not dismayed
They picked him up
And shook him down
And what you know
Fell to the ground?

In the barrel
On Bernie’s neck
Stashed some aces
From cheaters deck!
Marm and Lassie
Shared the winnings
And that’s the story
Of their beginnings!

LOL, that picture is so popular. It hangs on the wall of a local saloon here, The Howling Dawg. Mike would have loved it! We're having a memorial service this Saturday for the owner of the Dawg. I wrote a poem for him, "The Howling Dogs are Silent Now" and would also like to print this one out for his friends. OK by you?

The terrier's
A cheatin' cur
It really is a shame.

Like it I think i've seen a few pubs with this picture and it don't feel like a good pub without it. I like this one.
