Aflame

Aflame with desire
she now stands alone
waiting with patience
born of suffering

Her body shinning
with a reflection
of deepest passion
so long held in check

Listening quietly
she awaits his word
that she may now share
true love with one man

She must learn patience,
so she will hold back
the tide of feelings
that would consume her

She feels intense heat
as love builds each day
hoping that today
she can touch his heart

Wondering if he is
aware that love burns
deeply within her
for one single man

She struggles hard to
restrain and contain
the building desires
that are part of her

Still she wants to share
the deep love she feels
for this man of strength
so untouchable

The woman stands alone
awaiting the one
who can fulfill the
dreams that fill her nights

Sounds as if you need a fire Extinguisher,
just to knock the flames back a little

Oh my!!! I must say I can feel the deep desperate desire for love. For this one man! Great write! And I've an idea to make this into a card to send it to someone...
