*Noah Eaton's poem "Do You Still Love Me?" brought back memories of a time that I had a friend who felt the same. This began a process of remembrance, and I found this old poem which I wrote during my painful time. Intrestingly enough, with time, patience and forgiveness, the man this poem is about is now my loving husband.*

Nightmares.
Flashbacks.
My heart bleeds.
Liar.
Thief.
You stole my innocence.
I tried to love you,
but you hurt me.
Evil.
Hatred.
Pain.
I hope you die.
You killed me,
left me hollow.
And when something
replaces the emptiness,
you return.
Haunting.
Killing.
Destroying what you can.
Stabbing me with memories.
Hitting me with doubt.
Bruising me so deep
I don't trust anymore.
Killing me
again
and
again.

"I am nae poet, in a sense;
But just a rhymer like by chance..."
-Robert Burns

I know this anger. I'm glad you let it out before it internalizes into something that can actually kill you. It's not worth it.

HUGS.

Abigaile,
You do know how to let it out! Whoa...so do we get to see the other side?   By the way, welcome to Passions. Nice to meet you!

Thank you, everyone. *SMILE* If you wish to read "the other side" then you should read "My Love" in the open forums. Both this poem and that one are about the same man, my current husband. You could call this one "before" and the other one "after."

Boy have I felt this same exact degree of anger before. I wound up with a different man because I couldnt work things out with the one who angered me. Well written Abby
