Advice for Kevin

My sympathies young sir your charge was like a blur
But you missed a mile by a parry of his wrist.
In fencing toe to toe you do not charge the foe
Subtlety and flexibility is the key and always watch the eyes.
Their expression and their sighs and
Yet even some of those will lie.
You must shift and lunge and never plunge
And feel your feel touch by touch as slyly as an eel
Your wrist and blade will do the work
Your rashness will but bring a smirk.
Fencing is an art my friend of move and countermove
And if he is a master and such be the case
He will slip his blade around your cup
And flip it out and up into empty space.
Disarming you to the mercy of his circling tip
With which he may flip and nip you on the nose.
Or what ever else he may purpose.
I’ve done some fencing in my day
And know the feel of a master’s sway.
And the way he plays with time and space
To put one down in a proper place
Be grateful if he plays with you
Instead of just running you through
With flow and subtle bid he could unbar the lid
And scar the inner sanctum of your ID.
You play with fire my friend and I see but a dire end
My advice would be to close Pandora’s box
And blame it on confusions paradox.

Let not the cheering of the crowd
Open up the ego’s proud.

Makes me think of that line from The Untouchables, "Never bring a knife to a gun fight." A fine read Sir Tabin and sound advice for us all.  Peace.

Easy it is to say I am crazy
For choosing to rattle our cage just a bit
Excitement alone is the feeling that pays me
And pockets are full with this new game of wit
Our great deer well knows that I may have my brights on
But the car is merely rolling at him slow
And its all in fun that I have set my sights on
The one who has been the lead role in our show
So know that I'm aware our deer friend can fence
I'll still try to get some laughs at his expense

Hey, Kevin! You're using class, style and some really clever stuff to make this fun...I can't ask for any more than that

Sy,
Fine job. Love the additional participation in a PIP joust. What fun.
