Edgar is a very noble Raven
Too proud to be restricted and caged in,
But he doesn’t flutter about the room,
Just casually sits within the deep gloom
Perched on Pallus’ bust where he’s meant to be,
A silent critique to my poetry.

Thank you, Cpat Hair,
Yes he’s where the master Poe put him
And you can’t image how difficult it is to find a
Bust of Pallus.
Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you, Sunshine,
His glassy gaze oversees but seldom please,
Stilled by taxidermy

Thank you, Irish Rose
Inspiration is the highest compliment,
I await….

*grin* I thought his eyes would be glassy... I really enjoy this poem and it put a smile on my face as I saw the vision of it. Very well done.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

well Edgar being my favorite and having felt the stare of the raven..this was  another meaningful poem to me.

Reminds me of an almost visit in Richmond as I watched the tv station of Poe all night.

It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
