Tongues of flame licked at the walls
lonely shadows danced the halls
puddled tears from waterfall
(I don't miss you. No, not at all.)
Kerosene is in my blood
How can it be that fire floods?
And yet it does.
Oh yes. It does...
And still the flame enthralls.

I feel it licking at my walls
I watch the shadows now grow tall--
What goes up must someday fall--
if it e'er return at all.

Watching stars burn bright above,
what good are tears when Napalm loves?

*Just realized something...my reference to Napalm is not in reference to our dear poet friend NCC--

Well I am behind and don't know what the challenge was but I am sure you met it Sweet Serenity, and wowzers this was "smokin!".
