Tonight She Holds The Moon

Tonight She Holds The Moon

Tonight she holds the moon.
Stars guide her as she
becomes a blue shadow
sifting in a moonlit ocean.

Changing direction,
as if on the sigh of wind,
but in total harmony,
she moves through the trees
so as not to disturb creatures
in the world around her
entering an enchanted forest.

She hovers across the meadow
slipping as silk through streams
with such gentle grace
as to not leave a ripple.
With one exhaled breath
she can cleanse
the very air I breathe.

She is one with the elements.
Her rapport so close,
the communion so deep,
that the embodiments of
my very environment,
and all the souls of nature
are manifested in my heart.

So silent and solitary,
distant and receding,
but today I felt her.
I sensed her on my horizon,
encountering her in my mind.

I reach out to touch her,
longing for that
unattainable treasure as
she sparks my imagination
and stokes the fire
within my creative spirit.

She lives in me, is me.
Opening my heart and soul,
inspiring, and nurturing,
awakening all my senses
as my mind quivers
in the readiness.

My ever elusive muse,
who weaves words
of sorrow, promise,
faith, hope, and love.
and tonight she holds the moon.

Sharon..it always impresses me when one can find insipration from so many places...
my muse wont work like that...to just look at a picture and flow with so much emotion..
this is lovely in all its expressions and images.
well done poetess of many muses(you and margie)

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.

...in my honest, unbiased, completely unleashed opinion...she holds the moon everytime she rights, and paints the stars i Heaven with a radiant auora that tantlizes the face of the sleeping ocean with her beauty and splendor...(get the hint that I really...really...really LOVED this???)
Awesome write, Sharon....your work leaves me speechless so often.
Hugs and much love to you, ~*~dawnie~*~

How blessed you are with talent that touches me each time I read your poetry. Some have this gift for touching our souls and you have touched mine this morning. Sometimes I feel as if I've held the moon in my hands, but quickly my thoughts moved on.. warm smiles dear.

Katie
