Whoa to those with grief and that greave alone,
That cry and moan unheard inside their home
With spirits once joyous crushed by events
Spiraling downwardly as time is spent,

The moon rises unnoticed through the clouds

Then to be rushed away in dark of night
Stashed away in sanitized halls of white,
Captured bodies with spirits left behind,
Reliving events deep within their mind.

A ghost walks unnoticed through the crowds

Pumped with medicines controlling stray thought,
Unaware who they are or where they’re brought,
Turning ghoulish they sink still deeper down,
Immune to all actions or sights and sounds

Gloom

My friend...you write of that "place of distance" all too well...the sadness in your words reverberates throughout the accoustics of my heart. How I wish I could make you smile!  ?

Thank you,

We write what we know,
Some write of serenity,
Others of shadow.

Thank you, Startime,
And such a nice heart to touch,
Hope I didn’t chill it too much,

These situations are far too real for me
Events that are locked in my memory

In this I am reminded of the story "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" read in my youth, decades ago...

and now fresh again in my mind...

well done, Sir...

I always wondered why you wrote of the dark so well and the gloom  and doom of those white walls and hallways of silent screams..now I know..although you sanitize the view for us...remembering a poem I wrote for someone once, I thought was very  ill...explaining it to his friend sitting in my car on a parking lot one snowy March day, I believe...

I guess some memories are hard to forget.

~Wynter...isn't this fun..I am enjoying the memories that your words seem to bring to mind. Thank you *s
