Breathing Lessons

should my blood
jell in my veins
because you
no longer remain
it seems
to continue
to flow
and my heart
still pumps
and goes
plenty of air
left for me
to breathe
taught from
your absence
without leave
things now
are so
painfully clear
I only
missed you
when you were
suppose to be here

Breathe in, breathe out.
Life's blood still flows
after the sadness blows
away on the next wind.

Jello blood quivering
Chilled by your breathless sigh
Shook to a shivering
Stilled when you walk on by.

Where breath
Where beating heart continues
There words
Your writing show venues

With eye closed,
My mind flashes to visions
You exposed
By your words well written.

h

Marge beat me to it, so I'll just agree:

"I only
missed you
when you were
suppose to be here"

says so much.
