Through their eyes
are seen visions of old
in solitude we listen
to their stories being told.

Through their eyes
vivid images spring to life
sorrow is felt
through struggles and strife.

Through their eyes
the world becomes anew
a heart is touched
with words of love so true.

Through their eyes
there comes a  sense of hope
wisdome is found
helping to cope.

Through their eyes
there is strength to share
words of peace flow
written with care.

There is no limit
on wings we can fly
when we see the world written
through their eyes.

For every poet, everywhere, who has allowed us to see the world through their eyes......
I say.........THANK YOU

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

It has long been my belief that those with a "poetic" nature tend to experience emotions to a somewhat different degree than others.  Perhaps I am wrong, but you have captured this sentiment perfectly, enjoyed!

This is so cool the way you did this we owe even our own poetic gift to our own fellow writers because I have learned so much from poets and been inspired by a lot of them. And you said this in such a beauiful way.
