The Fading Mist

Dreams filling my nightly slumber
while the moon fills the sky
Shooting stars ablaze with glory
in vision now I fly

Within the weaving I will soar
to distant, magic lands
Mounted on mighty steed I ride
the beach of golden sands

Blending as one into the night,
following moonlit course
Searching for another rider
sitting tall on his horse

He is riding out to greet me
bathed within a moonbeam
Eyes sparkle with passions of life,
filling with love they gleam

Silently we ride together,
no need of words to share
Being joined in heart, mind and soul,
deepest thoughts we're aware

The dark sky lightens as we kiss
our time comes to an end
It's the end of a bliss filled night,
fare thee well, my best friend

He leaves as quickly as he came
into the fading mist
A man unknown to me in life
who my heart can't resist

resist not and dream
let us drink love from our lips
as moonbeams bathe us

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

So sweet and romantic with a mysterious quality to it.  I love it, Karen.  Great work!
