Peace

Peace.
Something
that should be
surrounding us all.
My heart weeps for the
State of war that we now find
ourselves in.Tears flow for the people
Trapped in the nightmares of this new war.
My heart aches for the innocent souls
that will suffer with death and loss.
It’s strange that the one thing
that we are fighting for,
is the thing that we
are avoiding…
Peace.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Tara, I know, I know, and it breaks my heart to see this happen. (tears fall down my cheeks) I pray we can all have the heart to help make love and peace possible everywhere and cherish and be thankful for what we have; each other and life. (big hugggsssssss) I join you in your prayers, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) Sooooo sad but well-written, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Noah - Stop you for stopping in.  It is sad..the way things in the world is going.  There shouldn't have to be a war on terrorism.  Terrorism shouldn't be.

Janet - It is a pleasure to see you here I'm glad you liked. It just came out.. it took less then 10 min to do.  Thank you.

ctowen - Thank you.  I'm glad you enjoyed

Startime - I hope people get the message too. Thanks for stopping in and replying

"fighting for peace"....a phrase used for thousands of years....wouldn't you think by now someone would realize the contradiction in terms?

all too true, honey, unfortunately... you know my feelings on this topic.
for those of you who don't, my idea of how war should be approached is that we ought to have each side declare a list of what they want if they win, then take all the people above the rank of lieutenant colonel (or the equivalent) from each army and lock 'em in a room together, unarmed.
whoever walks out gets their whole list, and the ones left unconscious get squat.
the soldiers get to watch on video cameras and bet on the outcomes, and any losses will be recouped from the combatants' salaries.

that would clear up this "war" crap in a real hurry.

failing that, lock 'em in a room with ME.
when i walk out, there won't be any more of this foolishness.

Just doesn't make sense does it?  But then again, it never did.  Wonderful write and fitting for not only these times of turmoil but for all times.  Truely appreciated and enjoyed much.

Thank you for this. Both the presentation and the thoughts are wonderful. And even though I do not expect to see world peace in my lifetime, I will not stop hoping and believing that it will happen some day. But then my daughter reminded me of what happened in a Simpsons TV show...Peace on Earth became a reality, then the aliens showed up and took over the planet. LOL. I had to add that. Please forgive me.

I'm glad I did stop in today.. I didn't think I'd see this poem back up on the pages. Thank you everyone for comments. I pray there will be peace soon, even though I do support the reason for the war.  Hopefully, it will end soon.
Thank you all again for the responses, I'm glad you enjoyed. I'm not feeling well, and not staying long, or I would take the time to thank you all individually.   to you all
