Its never for certain what the dealer deals
I never splash the pot with the cards faced down
I never could guess how another one feels
I give them my heart but they just throw it around
Sometimes you get lucky, take a trick or two
But the money is gone just as fast as it came
My face gives it away but then what can you do
The only way that you lose is if you get out the game
So I’m still at the table, toss a chip when I can
Fold em’ when I have to, good and bad all the same
I never did consider myself a lucky man
But there’s an queen in that deck and she is calling my name

Ah! An expression of hope in whimsical fashion. Yes Love is taking a very big chance and the odds aren't so good. Many do settle for the hand dealt and don't sit long enough at the table to await the big hand. Enjoyed.

Love is a gamble and you have written it so very well. On needs to wait for the right hand so that you are assured that you play to win. BRAVO!!! I really like this poem. A magnificent job here.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Kevin-
   I love this!  Wonderful!
She's going to be one lucky queen the
   day she wins your heart.

You bet there's a queen in the deck with your name on it!  Excellent work Kevin, I really enjoyed this.

Ya better hope it's the queen of hearts and not the queen of clubs.  Although Alice didn't have much luck with her either.

That Queen better be extra powerful Kevin, she has to help you take on the feudal Lord and King Balladeer.

Ya know, this also works fine as a love poem.

You're good, this is a great poem, just you sit there and the Queen will show up eventually.
