Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-11-13 01:03 PM

I first met her
and her rhyme
when she was in
three-quarter time
a bit of salad
was all she asked
not too much
hardly a task

actually I’d seen
her writings before
but her poetry swept
me out the dor

I sat me back,
a bit chagrined
wondered if I’d
be invited in
to see the style
which she swept around
or for shadows
was I bound?

But what I have seen
is a lady by write
who has it in her
to see through her fights
of right and wrong
the ups and downs
and silver linings
wing her frowns
to a place
she’d rather be,
eating salad while
reading poetry

so I leave it now
to you, and you,
to see her in the
light I do,
and know that she will
simonize again
but you never know
where, and you never know
when!

WOW. Your poem is awesome, and the link to Doreen's Salad? Hungry for a repeat. Can we get her to re-post it here? PLEASE?
I absolutely love it!

You two make a good team, I must say. Poetry begets poetry, and it's all yummy.
