In this very moment,

please just be with me,

resting here quietly.

I'd like to have you near

while I am still here.

There is no guarantee

I'll be here next year.

*sigh* I found this poem so very sad. It made me think of all the time I am wasting while I try to find someone to share my time with. This poem brought tears to my heart and eyes. Wonderful writing.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Walt, ain't that the truth. Thanks for being here, with me.

Startime, it brought a tear to my own eye as I wrote it.

Oh yes these are words to live by. Now if we can just get the rest to agree, and BE HERE NOW. Sigh..
You said a lot here.

Midnitesun,
Actually, Kacy, there are no guarantees any of us will be here next year. But I'm here now. Quietly!

Sometimes here and now is so difficult.  I want to Carpe Diem, but sometimes the day doesn't offer what I want.  Sometimes, I just don't understand what life has to offer.  I wish I could express this.  Anyway, enough blabbering...thank you for the reminder that no matter what is today, it IS today.

(big huggssssssss) Oh Kacy, I couldn't help but cry reading this piece, for I have dreamed ever so long for loves first kiss and to see one of my dreams come true, and it has never come and I feel as all my childhood is destroyed and every new step is as well. (sad sigh) I dream ever so much of loving someone. (sigh) So very beautiful is this soft poem, your words are always soooooo beautiful to read! (kiss on cheek) Have a beautiful day! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sandra, thanks for being here.

Larry, Quietly? You? LOL

Carrie, I hear you. Sometimes I want to push the calendar around a bit myself.

Noah, love is already surrounding you. Now that special ONE, may have to wait another day or two.

Gentle, thanks for being here, now.

Whisper, thanks, for being here, today.

Midnitesun,
when i first read this, i got a huge shock..i was thinking "gosh, what will happen to her then? how can she be so sure that she won't be in passions one year later?"

then, i realised i freaked out...but hmm, i like your candid writings on life and would hate not to be able to enjoy them...

faterider, gosh. Don't want you freakin out. I'm fine, don't plan on going anywhere just yet. But you never do know. This poem just came into my head while thinking about those poor families yesterday, both on the plane, and in the ground. And the fact is, any day could be the last, for any one of us. So the whole point is, to live and love as best you can today.  Hugs to you, sorry if I scared you even a little. Inless of course, I'm in a devilsh "dark side" mood where I'm trying to scare those booties off.

Duncan. Volumes to you too.
You always say much with less. Is that because of your busy schedule, with all that hand holding going on, not much time for the keyboards?  LOL.

Thank you for reading, Lone Wolf. Life is so fragile and fleeting. The impetus for this poem came from watching the news Monday night, knowing how many people had plans for that day, and those plans were wiped away in seconds. It brought back so vividly the moments of Sept 11. I consider every day I wake up to be a precious gift. And now, I will try and focus on the needs of the Afghani people, and hope there is something I can do to ensure those children have another day, and that they have food, clothing, and shelter. I am rambling now, but that is where I am...in a rambling state of mind.

ROTFLMAO Duncan, you are soooo funny! But I'm sure my navel can't hold a candle to Tracey's.  ???? BTW, can she hold a candle???? SLAP.. None of my business! If I say anything else, we'll be bumped into the Adult forum. But thanks for the sweet suggestion.

Midnitesun,
Now there's a visual. I thought I covered the navel thing in "I Traced You Last Night"! It wasn't enough? Are you ever satisfied....?

ROTFLMAO

How can I be? I'm sitting here with a dog, three birds, a 14 yr old, and a computer screen (but not a front door screen though LOL).
Remember Mick Jagger's old tune "I can't get no, satisfaction...."  It's my tune of the year.

Well I see you have many takers!   This gives to the sharing and simplistic need of just being with someone. So true..our time is so short here. I hope you receive your wish for that special someone to snuggle up real close to all winter long, and then some!
Hugs!

P.S. Tell Larry that the Rolling Stones are a religious cult group from England that practice in the art of stacking stones ie (as in Stonehenge)from the ancient Celtic period and they brought the practice of their art to America..hence the rolling stones! Who actually cut an album of chants and sacrifice all men who try to kiss their sisters!

Sincerely,
Regina
