My childhood in symphony
Notes of sweet wonder
Forgetting not a chord
Mind lost in melody

Rocked by tender love
Was that baby boy
Held by an angel
Her voice a choir

Nothing harming me then
Life lived in rhapsody
Oh to return again
To songs she sang

Cradled by a lullaby
Carried close to heaven
By those loving arms
Safe within her grasp

But my world changed
Growing into a man
Facing music dealt me
So harshly played out

Soft tunes still present
But too far apart
Depression my closest friend
Lonely singer of fools

Still mind holds child
Child still the man
Missing all beautiful instruments
That once caressed him

A tuba is the best instrument to rid  yourself of depression!   I enjoyed this!
