on the horizon of a fairytale

0 posted 2001-11-12 06:03 PM

Grim the reaper, who looks upon you with
ice cold eyes.  You, the wearer of many faces,
playing games of hide and seek.

Losing  your identity to a sullen foggy
mist, your dampened cries to selfhood
linger heavily, weighed down in the
shame of the reaper.

And in the light of darkness
my soul shines through scorching
the cold hand clasped around my heart...

and so I breathe...

Am I following this right or not....seems
to be about a person that has been abused
and the struggles of coming out from it...
Not sure...This is a little perplexing,
but a very good write....the words belong
to each other...

Being a survivor of much I can relate well to this wonderful poem. The feeling of freedom is absolutely incredible. Keep breathing girl.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Annie, I know these hide and seek feelings ever so well, and I was always scared before I would never escape, but following my loving heart, I am now free and hopeful! (sigh) We're all so proud of you, sweet friend, your loving words always touch us all! (kiss on cheek) BRAVO!!! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Annie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Wow!!  Very powerful and haunting write.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
