I am no poet I am just simple minded I think in pictures I dream in color I know no thousand dollar words I just tell it like it is The way that I see it And if what I write Happens oddly enough To be enjoyed by somebody Then perhaps someday Someone might call me a poet And if they do I will be flattered For poetry to me is something My mind dances to Especially when I read the words of others And they seem to fit right in the crevices of my heart |

A poet to me is someone who paints visions with their words that I can feel in my heart. You do that and therefore you are a great poet in this Star's eyes. BRAVO!!! A beautiful and heartfelt poem. I love it.  Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Songbird Please don't sell yourself short. Your words have touched this reader and I'm sure many others also. Keep writing and enjoying poetry. I am very new to writing myself and I am in awe at the talent of the wonderful writers here. For me there is no formula, I just write from the heart and I feel this is the best way.
