If I could only see you, for just a minute.
One brief moment of so few beats of a heart.
A few short breaths of time, just an instant.
I would hold my breath, making time stop.

My face would turn blue, my lungs ache.
My heart, beating fast would beat faster.
My soul within me would strain for release.
Clinging to life, to love, I would endure.

Just a moment, a soul worth of an instant.
A fleeting microscopic tick of love’s clock.
One scream within a mind, held in long.
The time would be excruciatingly short.

I wait patiently, remembering, longing.
A tear streaks down a tired worn face.
Soft eyes look into a distant place.
A soft heart, overflows with love’s feelings.

I will continue to live as I continue to seek
that one moment of time when all else stops.
The tear will again appear, fall into the darkness.
The mind, ever remembering, will search dreams.

Whisper to me that you know of this moment.
Take me away within your arms and soul.
Keep me locked away within a treasured place.
Wait for this instant, watch for time to stop.

For this moment will become an eternity...

This is such a wonderfully emotive piece Magnus! You've captured the desire and longing so exquisitely ... the excitement simply leaps through the lines. A beautiful write!
